'Ask your teacher, or your childs teacher, 'how are we going to celebrate the Paralympic Flag handover?'

That's the message from Sharon Hunt, Suffolk's Olympic equestrian bronze medalist who has today urged schools across the county to celebrate the Paralympic Flag handover on Wednesday 17th September.

Craig Heap, one of Great Britain’s most experienced gymnasts is set to visit Suffolk to help support the county’s up and coming sportsmen and women.

Five aspiring London 2012 Olympic athletes from Suffolk have each received a massive boost thanks to Suffolk County Council.

A new project aimed at documenting the Olympic and Paralympic Heritage of Suffolk has been launched.

The project, called Lap of Honour, was officially launched at Suffolk County Council's Olympic Flag Handover event on Sunday 24th August with the first screening of two short films.
